  • Develop an understanding of transition theory and how it applies to your next life phase
  • Learn more about the psychological process of transition
  • Share prior transition experiences with other participants
  • Engage in exercises to plan your transition

II. Working-Life to Life-Work Paradigm
  • Assess your strengths and weaknesses
  • Identify the elements and emphases of your future life
  • Identify your “life-work” areas and the skills that you want to acquire to move forward
  • Set goals and create an action plan to develop the skills you need

III. Quality of Life
  • Identify the principal issues for developing healthy habits related to physical, emotional and social well-being
  • Develop strategies for establishing and maintaining good health
  • Create an action plan for maintaining a sense of personal well-being

IV. A Legacy of Connections
  • Identify important intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual connections
  • Develop strategies to create, balance and maintain multiple connections
  • Design a weekly connections plan to include a wide variety of people & activities
  • Create a connection-legacy statement to include commitment to staying active

V. Building Your Legacy Everyday
  • Discover how to make a meaningful contribution to society via volunteering, mentoring, and helping others in one’s own community
  • Learn about agencies and organizations that foster legacy building
  • Identify how you can live a lasting legacy, by example, and add meaning to your life
  • Set goals for getting started and complete your personal legacy statement
